Given the material type, shape, dimensions, and unit cost, the Material Calculator can calculate the volume, weight, and cost of eighteen different shapes commonly used in manufacturing.

You just select a specific material and shape.

Then, depending on which shape you pick, you'll have to furnish from one to six dimensions before volume, weight, and cost calculations can be made.

Fabrications (Pipe, Angles, Channels, I-Beams) have industry standard dimensions built into the program.

Dimensions can be entered in any combination of Inches, Feet, Millimeters, and Meters.

The calculated material cost can be input to the Job Planner with a mouse click.

Materials can be added or removed, and cost per pound can be modified, by editing a small text file.
